People love good wine

You have so many options in Ohio for some excellent wines.  It is a privilege for us to serve our wine to our frequent guests and to those from a distance that are only able to visit less frequently.
 
Our goal is to make sure you feel so wonderful about your time at Dragonfly that you really want to come back very soon, or the next time you travel our direction.  Here are some of the things we do to make you want to try us for the first time, and to come back:

• We have seating within our 4-acre vineyard.  You can sit right next to the grapes that are in your glass.
• Or, you can cozy up to our real fireplace during the colder months.
• We have a fantastic selection of 25 wines from your exquisite dry reds to your sumptuous chilled sweets, and everything in between.  Let's not forget the slushies in the summer and mulled wine in the winter.
• Our own vineyard and another local vineyard of friends provide the grapes for most of our wines.  We also ship in some grapes from the west coast because of our local climate.  And, we also ship in a minimal amount of juice that makes a smaller amount of our wine selection.  We hand craft all of our wines in our cellar.
• OK, so here are a few things we feel pretty proud about with recognitions our wines have received since opening in June 2019:
  • Our 2018 Estate Cabernet Franc was awarded the honor of being one of the few select wines served at the banquet of the 2020 Ohio Grape and Wine Conference.  This was a particular honor for Kent as this was the first vintage of his commercial winemaking career.
  • In the 2021 and 2022 Ohio Wine Competions, 13 of 13 entered wines received medals including a couple of Double Gold medals and an assortment of Gold, Silver and a Bronze.
  •  Our estate grown 2021 LaCrescent Curves was awarded the Director's Choice Award in honor of the Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture as the best Ohio white.  This award was presented at a gala event at the Ohio Statehouse in May 2022.
  • And...our next vintage of LaCrescent Curves won Best of Class for Ohio White Wines in the 2023 Ohio Wine Competition.
  • Our estate grown Marquette was selected as the Ohio red wine to be served at the Fine Arts Opening Reception for the Ohio State Fair in August 2022.
• We have a commercial kitchen with a menu of sandwiches and hors d’oeuvres.  No need to order out.
• Our customers enjoy our peaceful rural setting where “conversation is king”.  You are able to enjoy the background sounds of nature outside, or soft music inside while the relationship with people you are with is your most important treasure.
• And finally, we have the best staff ever!  We are so grateful for them.  We receive so many compliments on the attention and friendliness of our staff who will take care of you at your table.​

We do need to add that even though we do love animals and pets, we do ask that your pets are not with you when you visit.  Sorry about that and thanks for helping out with this policy.
